The Executive Director of the PADES, Mr. Victor Kitembo Idumba, welcomes the appointment of Michaëlle Jean as the new Secretary General of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF).
This designation made by consensus on 30th November, 2014 by Heads of states at the fifteenth meeting of the Francophonie in Dakar. She succeeds to the Senegalese Abdou Diouf who has held the position for 12 years.
PADES congratulates Michaëlle Jean and wish her a successful mandate as the head of the OIF.
